Once in Boston, Paul studied privately with Mike Mangini (Pearl Drum Clinician, Dream Theater), Joe Pet (The Joe Perry Project) and Skip Hadden (Weather Report) and continued working throughout New England until becoming house drummer at the infamous Dick’s Last Resort from 1994-2000.

He was a founding member of Blue Eyed Soul (1993), Darling Picassos (1995), The Rob Gonzalez Band (1998) and The Trick Wallace Trio (2005). Paul has toured the Northeast, Southeast and Midwest, enjoyed radio success (CMJ’s Top 200), done TV & radio performances and opened for artists such as The Gin Blossoms, Letters to Cleo, Jessica Simpson, Colin Raye, Matt Schofield and Kofi Baker. In 2017, Paul joined acid blues band Bees Deluxe and continues to take on independent work when scheduling allows. Recent projects include recording with guitarist Conrad Warre, freelance tracking with drummer/engineer Chris Lyons and mixing Trick Wallace’s upcoming release.
